- We're trying to get a Cardinal 28.8i (?) modem connected to a Windows
- 95 box to connect to a Telebit 8820 rackmount modem.
-
- Both modems are (supposedly) capable of V.34 connections at 28.8 kbps,
- but we're seeing only 19.2. Connecting the Cardinal to other modems
- (Multi-Tech and others) gets us 26.4 to 28.8.
-
- Does anyone know of any limitations on either the Cardinal or Telebit
- line that would account for this? (For example, some early Zoom
- V.32bis modems wouldn't run faster that 12 kbps no matter what you
- did.)
-
- E-mail, please; I'll summarize. If this is a FAQ, pointers to more
- info would be appreciated.
