  12. We're trying to get a Cardinal 28.8i (?) modem connected to a Windows
  13. 95 box to connect to a Telebit 8820 rackmount modem.

  15. Both modems are (supposedly) capable of V.34 connections at 28.8 kbps,
  16. but we're seeing only 19.2.  Connecting the Cardinal to other modems
  17. (Multi-Tech and others) gets us 26.4 to 28.8.

  19. Does anyone know of any limitations on either the Cardinal or Telebit
  20. line that would account for this?  (For example, some early Zoom
  21. V.32bis modems wouldn't run faster that 12 kbps no matter what you
  22. did.)
